Liberty Point ("we", "us") operates Yakkio. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We are committed to privacy by design and collect only what we need to provide and secure the service.
Child Safety (CSAE/CSAM)
Yakkio, published by Liberty Point Pte. Ltd., has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE/CSAM). We remove and report any suspected CSAE/CSAM immediately, preserve evidence for law-enforcement requests, and cooperate with authorities such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
If you see anything involving CSAE/CSAM, email steve@libertypoint.io or use the in-app report button. We prioritize these reports.
Data we collect
- Account: email, handle, avatar, authentication tokens.
- Content: posts, reactions, follows, and moderation state (ok / pending review / rejected with reason).
- Private topics: membership lists, join requests, admin permissions, and invite link usage.
- Direct messages: message content, read receipts, reactions, conversation metadata, mute/block preferences, and online status visibility settings.
- Device: push notification tokens; app version and platform.
- Usage & diagnostics: server logs, security/abuse signals, performance metrics.
- Advertising: ad impression data (when ads are viewed, which ad slots, page location). For logged-in users, we associate impressions with your user ID for analytics and fraud prevention. Anonymous users' impressions are tracked without user identification.
- AdMob data: When you view ads served through Google AdMob, Google may collect device information (IP address, device identifiers, OS version), ad interaction data (clicks, impressions), and performance metrics. This data is collected by Google AdMob, not by Yakkio directly. We use non-personalized ads, which means Google does not use your personal information or create a profile of you for ad targeting purposes.
How we use data (purposes & legal bases)
- Provide the service (Contract): account creation, posting, following, notifications, private topic access control, direct messaging, and real-time presence features.
- Security & abuse prevention (Legitimate interests): fraud/spam detection, rate limiting, content policy enforcement, private topic moderation, and direct message blocking.
- Advertising analytics (Legitimate interests): tracking ad impressions to measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and provide analytics to channel owners and advertisers. We do not use this data for behavioral advertising or sell it to third parties. We serve non-personalized ads through Google AdMob, which means ads are not targeted based on your personal information or browsing history.
- Compliance (Legal obligation): respond to lawful requests, maintain records as required.
- Consent (where applicable): optional notifications or features that require permission.
Do we sell or share data for ads?
No. We do not sell personal data or share it for cross‑context behavioral advertising. We track ad impressions for analytics and fraud prevention purposes only. App owners and channel owners can view aggregated impression statistics for their content, but individual user data is not shared with advertisers or third parties.
Non-Personalized Ads: We use Google AdMob to serve non-personalized advertisements in our mobile app. Non-personalized ads are not based on your personal information, browsing history, or interests. Google AdMob may collect device information and ad interaction data as described above, but this data is not used to create a personalized advertising profile. We do not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission on iOS because we do not use personalized advertising or cross-app tracking.
Ezoic Advertising Services
This website uses Ezoic to provide advertising services. Ezoic and its partners may collect and use information about your visits to this website and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

International transfers
Data may be processed globally. Where applicable, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for EEA/UK transfers.
Retention
- Account profile: retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of verified deletion request.
- Posts: retained while the topic/post exists; deleted on account/topic deletion or as required by law.
- Private topic data: membership lists, join requests, and admin permissions deleted when topic is deleted or you leave/are removed.
- Direct messages: retained until you delete the conversation (soft delete) or both participants delete and 30+ days pass (permanent deletion). Deleted immediately upon account deletion.
- Ad impressions: retained for analytics and reporting purposes. Aggregated statistics may be retained longer for historical reporting. Individual impression records with user IDs are retained for up to 2 years for fraud prevention and analytics.
- Logs/backups: retained for a limited time for security and disaster recovery.
Your rights
Subject to local law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection. Contact: yakkio.com@gmail.com. If unresolved, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
Children
Yakkio is for users aged 16+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Security
We use industry‑standard controls (access controls, encrypted transport, least‑privilege). No method is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be highlighted in‑app or on this page.
