But Still Haven’t Faced?","summary":"The question everyone avoids, and why the answer still matters.","body":"Read this article on the Yakkio App: App Store: [Apple App](https://apps.apple.com/sg/app/yakkio/id6752318783). A skill, a lesson, a truth they suspect they should’ve faced by now, but somehow haven’t. It nags at the edges, maybe it’s practical, maybe it’s emotional, maybe it’s buried so deep you’ve convinced yourself it doesn’t matter. But most of us have at least one. And sometimes, saying it out loud changes the way it sits.\n\nThere are the obvious ones, coding, public speaking, learning a second language. The skills that show up on every New Year’s resolution list and quietly disappear by March. But it’s not always about effort. Sometimes it’s about timing, or confidence, or just never being shown a way in that felt like it was meant for you.\n\nThen there are the softer ones. Patience. Listening. Saying no. Knowing when to walk away. You don’t see those on a CV, but they change your life just as much. The also often take longer to recognise, let alone learn.\n\nThen, of course, there’s fear. Not in the dramatic sense, but in the slow, private way that keeps you circling around the thing without ever landing. The fear that trying and failing is worse than not trying at all. It isn’t. But it feels that way until you prove it to yourself.\n\nThere’s no perfect time to start anything, but there is something powerful about naming it. Once you say what it is, it gets harder to pretend it doesn’t matter, and harder still to blame time, or luck, or circumstance. You might still not act, but you’ll stop lying to yourself.\n\nAnd the thing is, you’re probably not alone. The skill you think is too late to learn, too niche to matter, too far gone to reclaim, someone else out there is feeling the same. And they’d probably be glad to know they’re not the only one.\n\nMaybe this is that moment. Not to fix it all, but just to say it out loud. What do you wish you’d learned sooner, but still haven’t faced?\n\nJoin the discussion below and share yours. I’ve posted mine to get things started.
